General Nutrition

Nutrition Consultation

Meeting with a registered dietitian can help you make meaningful changes to your diet. One size doesn’t fit all in nutrition, so our experts provide customized advice to help you create long-lasting habits. 

Service Options 

  • Individual Consultations: 30 or 60 minute sessions to explore strategies for optimal health and performance.
  • Three Session Package: For in-depth guidance and accountability over multiple sessions. 

Dietitians can also support specialized needs, such as managing digestive disorders or conditions requiring clinical diets (with a provider referral). 

Nutrition Workshops 

Interested in trying healthy new recipes in an interactive setting? Come check out our nutrition workshops!

Taught in our teaching kitchens on campus, our workshops guide you through the process of making various dishes. We’ll teach you the skills you’ll need to make the recipes at home. Our experts will give you hands-on instruction on how to keep healthy choices within easy reach as you expand your cooking comfort and confidence.

Intuitive Eating

Come make peace with food, movement, and your body by learning and practicing the 10 principles of Intuitive Eating! This 10-week class is virtual via Zoom.

Intuitive eating is all about creating a healthy relationship around food, body, mind, and movement through self-care and body appreciation, regardless of weight or size. The main concepts in intuitive eating include finding satisfaction and pleasure in eating, and moving your body for the sake of feeling good. You’ll learn how to reject diet mentality and  to respect your body. regardless of how you feel about its shape. You’ll also find was to apply gentle nutrition without judgment. Founded in decades of research, becoming an intuitive eater pays off.

There are several research-supported health benefits to intuitive eating:
  • Increased self-confidence and compassion

  • Increased pleasure and satisfaction around food

  • Increased body acceptance

  • Decreased markers of anxiety and depression towards food

  • Decreased guilt around food

  • Decreased binge-eating 

Culinary Medicine

Our culinary medicine course goes beyond macro and micronutrient education. You’ll learn how nutrition translates into practical food choices and how to give your patients advice regarding what, when, why, and how to eat.

This class takes place in a teaching kitchen where you’ll prepare and enjoy meals while discussing the science of nutrition and how to help patients make lasting health behavior change.

Weight Management Classes

New You and New Youth Programs

The New You (for adults) and New Youth (for individuals under 18) programs focus on healthy eating, physical activity, and weight management. We use proven, evidence-based methods to guide our programs.

Program Details 

  • Duration: 12 months, 22 sessions
  • Personalized support: Six one-on-one 60 minute consultations with a registered dietitian
  • Group classes: 16 sessions covering topics like meal planning, stress management, and staying active. 

You must meet a few requirements to participate in our program:

  • BMI of 30 or higher
  • Referral from a primary care provider
  • Insurance coverage using billing codes G0447 and G0473 

Food Pharmacy

The Food Pharmacy program, part of the Driving Out Diabetes Initiative, is Сòòò½APP’s answer to food insecurity. Its purpose is to serve patients in the community who are struggling with chronic nutrition-related conditions while also experiencing food insecurity.

Our goal is to use food as medicine to support patients. We advocate for the prevention and management of nutrition-related Сòòò½APPs by increasing access to healthy foods and nutrition resources.

Participation in the Food Pharmacy program is by doctor referral only. Eligibility is based on indicators of food insecurity and parameters of health.
